Kindergarten Registration
All Tecumseh Local Kindergartners attend school all-day every-day at Park Layne Elementary. Students should be registered for kindergarten in the spring each year for the following year. Students must be 5 years old on or before August 1st in the year they begin kindergarten.
Kindergarten Registration must be completed online by following the link from the district main page under Parent Resources. Please register online in Final Forms and gather the documents listed below.
Documents need to be submitted to the district in one of the following ways:

Drop off paperwork at Park Layne Elementary any week day between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm. During the Summer, please call before coming to make sure someone will be available in the office to assist you.
The following items are required for registration:
· Official Birth Certificate (Not hospital record)
· Immunization Records
· Custody Papers if applicable
· Parent Photo Identification
· Proof of Residency and/or Open Enrollment Application on file
Kindergarten Assessment
Kindergarten Assessment takes place in May each year for the following school year. For the 24/25 school year, assessment will take place on May 17 and 20 by appointment. A link is available during the online registration process. If you missed our assessment in May, please register your child as soon as possible. During the online registration process, you will be asked to sign up for an modified and limited assessment in August. Please note that students will not be assigned to a classroom until the registration has been completed and all required documents uploaded in Final Forms or turned in to the school office.
