Are you in need of childcare before or after school? We have your solution! Through our latchkey program we provide childcare for school-age children before school, beginning at 6:30 a.m. (8:30 a.m. on days we are on a two-hour delay) and after school until 6:00 p.m. every school day. Our latchkey monitor is Mrs. Tammy McBroom who has served in this capacity for 14 years. She is terrific with our kids and is extremely dedicated, putting the safety and well-being of her latchkey kids first. Miss Tammy is assisted in the afternoons by high school student, Ms. Linay Stryker, and recent high school graduate Ms. Katie McBroom. Both are energetic, hard-working and have developed a great rapport with our students.
In addition to having time to play with their friends, we also give students the opportunity to get homework completed in the afternoons. During latchkey, students spend much time outdoors, weather permitting, and have access to the gymnasium during inclement weather. Students also have access to a variety of board games, building toys, craft materials and much more. Morning latchkey students have the opportunity to eat a school breakfast, and afternoon latchkey students are provided a snack at no additional charge.
