The Tecumseh Local School District will implement “Blizzard Bags” for the 2015-2016 school year. While most Ohio school districts have transitioned to counting hours as opposed to days, it will still be the practice of the Tecumseh Local School District to make up any days missed beyond the fine in order to provide our students with a quality education. However, the first three days beyond five will not need to be made up by students attending school.
Instead the district will utilize three Blizzard Bag days as make up days. On the 6th full day missed, Blizzard Bag Lesson #1 will be utilized, on the 7th full day missed, Blizzard Bag Lesson #2 will be utilized, and on the 8th full day missed, Blizzard Bag #3 will be utilized. If more than eight full days are missed, each day will be made up according to the schedule that would be set.
Blizzard Bag lessons can be accessed by clicking on the appropriate link on the right. Student's will have two weeks to complete the lessons and return them to their teachers. Students who do not have access to the Internet will be given paper copies of the lessons by their teachers upon return to school and be given two weeks to complete the lessons and return them to the teachers. All students will be required to complete the lessons in lieu of making up days 6, 7 and 8.
