Learning For All ~ Whatever It Takes!

Safety Day Returns to Tecumseh Community

Families who are interested in back-to-school assistance and other health and safety initiatives can attend Family and Youth Initiatives’ Annual Safety Day event from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, August 8, at the athletic complex on the main campus of Tecumseh High School.

Many booths will be set up to provide information on resources and services available for families. The Mobile Mammography Unit will offer mammograms for those interested. You need to bring a photo ID and an insurance card. Free mammograms will be offered to those who qualify.

The Second Harvest Food Mobile will be present and all families are welcome to stop by for the free food give away if needed. Restoration Park Church members will have tables set up to distribute free clothing. Free school supplies and book bags will be available for distribution to students as well from area churches.

Thank you to FYI for organizing this event for the benefit of our community. We also appreciate those willing to get involved and help out with this event by setting up booths and providing items and services for those in attendance!
