This summer, Tecumseh Local Schools will offer summer school intervention for qualified migrant students in grades K-12.  The summer school will be at New Carlisle Elementary School beginning June 15 and will run through July 27.
This summer intervention is funded by a federal grant for students whose education is interrupted due to moving for some types of seasonal employment.  These frequent moves can result in gaps in student learning, and summer intervention helps to eliminate these gaps. Students in summer school also have the opportunity to participate in educational field trips and explore post-school options and careers.
A registration event will be held prior to the end of the school year to meet with parents of qualified students and to get students enrolled for the summer session.  Information about the registration event will be coming home soon.
