NCES Students Experience Planetarium at School

New Carlisle Elementary students recently enjoyed the experience of a real planetarium at their school with the SkyDome Planetarium, a traveling blow-up theater. Some students have never had the opportunity to go to a real planetarium. This Skydome was just as good as a real planetarium but in our gymnasium. The  presenter explained many interesting facts about planets, the Solar System and stars to the children.

The 5th Grade students recently finished studying the Solar System so they were very interested and had a lot to add to the discussion. They were able to answer questions the presenter asked. All the 4th and 5th grade students were able to participate in the assembly throughout the day. There were 3-4 classes in the theater at a time. We had many great comments from staff, students and teachers about what a great learning experience this was for them.
