TLS Seeks Members for Buildings and Grounds Committee

Planning, prioritizing and budgeting for the repair and upkeep of our buildings, facilities and grounds is an important way to ensure that the buildings stay in top shape. A new committee currently seeking members will help with that initiative.

Unexpected expenses are not only disruptive to education, but they can also be a burden to the amounts set aside for repairs. Through careful planning and a thorough maintenance plan, we hope to prevent unexpected expenses from occurring.

Consequently, we are in the process of establishing a three to five year capital plan. A capital plan focuses on machinery, land, facilities, and other business necessities that are typically not replaced through normal use.

Our goal is to form a Buildings and Grounds Committee to help assess and identify the specific needs in the district. We are seeking two or three community members who would be interested in being part of this committee. Please contact Paula Crew if you are interested in being involved with this committee, or if you would like additional information about the anticipated time commitment for members.
