Fall Sports Recap

The Arrows wrapped up a successful fall season with a league championship in boys soccer and numerous individual league awards in other sports.

   The Arrows wrapped up a successful fall season with a league championship in boys soccer and numerous individual league awards in other sports.

   The girls’ tennis team finished 4th in the league with an overall record of 10-10. Individual league awards went to: Ashley Fite 2nd Team, Kayla Bush & Ady Beel 2nd Team, Emilee Morris Special Mention, and Hope Cuy Castellanos CBC Sportsmanship. 

   The girl’s golf team was a first year club team, they finished 3rd in the league and had a 2-8 overall record. Individual league awards went to: Julia Randenburg 1st Team, Corinne Thomas 2nd Team, Lyndsey Back Special Mention and CBC Sportsmanship.

   The boys’ golf team finished 5th with an overall record of 1-9. Individual league awards went to: Ethan Conley CBC Sportsmanship.

   The girls’ cross country team finished 4th in the league meet. Individual awards went to: Kylee Mastin 1st Team (Regional Qualifier as well), Gena Diller 2nd Team, Jaci Rife Special Mention, and Natalie Allen CBC Sportsmanship.

   The boys’ cross country team finished 4th in the league meet. Individual awards went to: Garrett Gemmaka 1st Team, Shane Gray CBC Sportsmanship.

   The girls’ soccer team finished 3rd with an overall record of 11-4-2. Individual league awards went to: Abby Adams 1st Team, Katlin Sanning 1st Team, Maddie Hall 2nd Team, Taylor Sisco 2nd Team, Zoey Berner Special Mention, and Julia Gibson CBC Sportsmanship.

   The boys’ soccer team finished 1st with an overall record of 9-5-3. Individual league awards went to: Alex Arevalos 1st Team, Cole Connor 1st Team, Mitchell Foland 1st Team, Caleb Rose 2nd Team, Enrique Ruiz 2nd Team, Kenyon Runner Special Mention, and Alex Kennedy CBC Sportsmanship. 

   The football team finished 5th with an overall record of 2-8. Individual league awards went to: AJ Betleyoun 1st Team, Tyler Cory 1st Team, Clay Mastin 1st Team, Devin Alltop 2nd Team, David Gehret 2nd Team, Jayden McFarland 2nd Team, Will Sowder 2nd Team, Gavin Wasson 2nd Team, Kody Horn Special Mention, and Reed Finfrock CBC Sportsmanship.

   The Athletic Department has a scholar/athlete program to recognize athletes who earn  a 3.2 or higher GPA during the quarter they are participating. The overall goal is to have 60% of our student/athletes with a 3.2 or higher GPA. This fall for the high school we had 145 out of 210 student/athletes for 69%. The breakdown of the teams: Football 58%, Cheer 75%, Boys Soccer 55%, Girls Soccer 72%, Cross County 79%, Volleyball 76%, Tennis 75%, Boys Golf 71%, and Girls Golf 100%.
