Altrusa International Inc., Springfield, Ohio Chapter, recently awarded the Park Layne Elementary library with a grant to purchase informational books regarding the challenges of having hearing loss so that our students and staff can have a better understanding of what it is like to suffer from hearing loss.
Altrusa International Inc., Springfield, Ohio Chapter, recently awarded the Park Layne Elementary library with a grant to purchase informational books regarding the challenges of having hearing loss so that our students and staff can have a better understanding of what it is like to suffer from hearing loss. Park Layne has an interpreter for students with hearing challenges and the library seemed like a good place to have books that support and explain differences to all students.
Included in that grant, Altrusa is purchasing two start up LEGO sets to support the set of LEGO building books that the Park Layne library already has. Our library is excited to be bringing more hands on materials for our students interested in science, technology, engineering and math as well as art.
