Use your imagination to take a new product from just an idea to an actual business proposal and in the process learn real world job skills that will help you make money in the future! In SHARK TANK, you will develop a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) commercialization proposal that will be entered into the annual “Believe in Ohio” competition. If your project is creative and innovative enough, it can help you earn up to $10,000 towards a post high school educational opportunity of your choice here in Ohio. Each class session will focus on the various components that are necessary for writing an appropriate proposal. With teacher guidance, students will be taught to find reliable sources, compare ideas from multiple articles, use appropriate citations, develop a plausible prototype, and present their ideas in a coherent manner. Computer aided design (CAD), electronics, metal fabrication, and woodworking projects will be used to help develop ideas.
