District Tax Budgets

District Tax Budget Information

A school district’s tax budget includes the period from the first day of July through the thirteenth day of June. The Board of Education must adopt the tax budget on or before January 15th and file with the County Auditor by January 20th. State statutes require that the budget document must include all anticipated receipts and expenditures. The document will include an estimate of receipts from all revenue sources including general property taxes, unencumbered balances and all anticipated necessary current expenses for the ensuing fiscal year by fund and classification.
