The Business Law course at Tecumseh High School provides a basic study of laws that are used most often by citizens and
business people. Students will explore the law as it pertains to society,
minors, consumers, and business owners. Students will explore the creation and
origins of law, criminal law, the law of torts (civil lawsuits/negligence), the
court system in general, and how to protect themselves as consumers.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:

ethics and law compare and contrast
- identify classes, elements and
penalties as it applies to the law.
- explain due process and how it
applies to those who violate the law.
- define a variety of torts and acts
of negligence and what remedies are available.
- identify and understand the steps of
a civil and criminal trial.
