Math I is a 36 week math course for grade 9, and is worth 1 credit. In Math I, emphasis will be to provide the students opportunities to understand and use basic algebraic concepts including: writing, interpreting, simplifying, evaluating and/or using algebraic expressions and formulas, solving equations and inequalities, graphing simple functions, organizing and using data, and applying problem-solving strategies. Special emphasis will be given to the algebra concepts on the Ohio Graduation Test and all required state assessments.
A scientific calculator, paper, and pencil will be required, and you will be given a textbook.
