Latchkey - Urgent and Important Information

 

We are excited to announce that our Latchkey programs at Donnelsville Elementary and Park Layne Elementary are moving to an online format for attendance and billing.  We know that this is going to simplify things for our families and allow better access to records, billing, tax forms and more.  The first step in this process is getting your child(ren) enrolled in this new program.  We will be using Procare Online.  Please use the links below to access the latchkey registration for the latchkey program you will be using.  If your child attends school at Park Layne, but you utilize latchkey at Donnelsville, be sure to click on the link for Donnelsville Latchkey.  A reminder that New Carlisle students can NOT utilize Donnelsville Latchkey as there is no busing available between these buildings.  DN, PL and TMS students can utilize either latchkey program.  Please only fill this out if your child will be using latchkey this year.  It is urgent that you complete this as soon as possible.

Are you in need of childcare before or after school? We have your solution! Through our latchkey program we provide childcare for children in grades K-8 before school, beginning at 6:30 a.m. (8:30 a.m. on days we are on a scheduled two-hour delay) and after school until 6:00 p.m. every school day.  

 

Our latchkey monitor is Tammy McBroom. Tammy has been at Donnelsville many years and runs an amazing program. Just ask former and current latchkey students what they think of "Ms. Tammy". She has a heart for her children and it truly shows in the help she gives them and activities she offers. Ms. Tammy really cares about kids and it shows. She is an asset to Donnelsville Elementary and anyone who is fortunate to attend latchkey at our building. 

 

In addition to having time to play with their friends, we also give students the opportunity to get homework completed in the afternoons. During latchkey, students spend much time outdoors, weather permitting, and have access to the gymnasium during inclement weather. Students also have access to a variety of board games, building toys, craft materials and much more. Morning latchkey students have the opportunity to eat a school breakfast, and afternoon latchkey students are provided a snack at no additional charge.
