Dear Parent or Guardian,
The Accelerated Reader program is a way for your child to practice reading. Just like sports, the more your child practices reading the better reader they will become. There are many things you can do to help your child become a better reader. Read with your child, start a home library, and ask questions about the books your child has read. When you make learning a family affair, there's no limit to the success your child can achieve!
Parent's can have access to their child's records by going to the Accelerated Reader Testing site on the right and clicking on Parent. Once you click on Parent you can request access. You will receive an email containing a password and user name after a few days.
Our library staff selects highly recommended books for our library, but students can go to the public library or read books from home. Students can also take tests at the New Carlisle Public Library, as long as they have their AR passwords. However, our program license does not allow students to take tests at home. Tests may be taken during school hours and at the public library.
To check if a book is AR please use the AR BookFinder link on the right.
Students will be receiving an individual password for Home Connect. Home Connect lets parents track their child's individual progress as well as view books their child is reading. The link can be found on the right.
