Our Mission

We will keep Donnelsville "PRIDE" alive through engaging all staff, students, and community in lifelong learning.  This mission will be accomplished by laying an academic, social, and emotional foundation for students who will become productive citizens in an ever-changing society. We are Responsible, Respectful, Peaceful, and Problem -Solving students and staff!

Welcome

Donnelsville Elementary is one of the two 2-5 grade  buildings in the Tecumseh Local School district. The staff at Donnelsville pride ourselves on really getting to know our kids and showing them their true value as humans. This value can be instilled in our kids through our pride in educating these children to the best of our ability. We also strive to teach our kids to be Responsible, Respectful, Peaceful, Problem-solving Learners. We talk about what these things look like in the classroom, on the playground, in the halls, the cafeteria, and the other common areas of the building.

We want our kids to come to school every day knowing that they will be cared for and cared about. We want them to know we will try and discover how each of them learns best and adapt our instruction to meet their individual needs. We are preparing these 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders to be lifelong learners. We can’t do this on our own though and would love your support as we strive to give our best to the children of our community.

Help make a positive impact on your child's school by joining the Tecumseh Elementary PTO. This is a great way to get involved, meet parents from across the district and help provide additional supports and activities for your child(ren).

PTO meetings are generally held at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria at Park Layne Elementary on the second Monday of the month and are open to all Tecumseh Elementary School families. We hope to see you at our next meeting.

If you have any questions about our PTO, please contact a building principal, a PTO officer or you can email the PTO at pto@tecumsehlocal.org.

You may receive a letter from Donnelsville Elementary with a note that was written by a staff member about your child.  This is our Positive Office Referral Program. Last school over 500 of these letters went home to parents. This is our way, as a staff, of recognizing kids who are doing great things. The teachers fill out these forms, I call the students to my office and we then discuss why they were written up. You should see the smiles on their faces. It is really one of the best parts of my day. We then take their picture and they are given some special treats from me. If you have been in our building, you have seen the hundreds of student pictures hanging in the hall. We love to recognize as many kids as we can here at Donnelsville for doing a good job!!!
