School Pledge

Today is a new day. I am the best student I can be.

I finish my work.

I respect others.

I play fairly.

I am proud of all I do and say.

Support your child’s education!

Help support your child’s development and education by following a few simple actions:

  • Be sure your child receives 9-11 hours of sleep each night.
  • Remove all distractions from the bedroom, including TV’s, tablets, and gaming systems, to ensure uninterrupted sleep.
  • Limit electronic usage in general and specifically before bedtime.
  • Read to and with your child nightly, prioritizing the “Baggy Book” your child brings home each night.
  • Practice fluency phrases, words, and the “trick words” from the “Baggy Book” bag
  • Talk with your child frequently for conversational turn taking and vocabulary development and to enjoy time together.
  • Hug often and for at least 6 seconds or until your child lets go.

Help make a positive impact on your child's school by joining the Tecumseh Elementary PTO. This is a great way to get involved, meet parents from across the district and help provide additional supports and activities for your child(ren).

PTO meetings are generally held at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria at Park Layne Elementary on the second Monday of the month and are open to all Tecumseh Elementary School families. We hope to see you at our next meeting.

If you have any questions about our PTO, please contact a building principal, a PTO officer or you can email the PTO at pto@tecumsehlocal.org.
