Welcome to Park Layne, home of Tecumseh Local's Kindergarten and First Grade Students beginning with the 2014/1015 school year. Our website has information to help you learn more about our school including supply lists, links to helpful websites, a photo gallery with lots of pictures, a link to our Google Calendar and more.
We have a great new opportunity to raise money for our school. Amazon Shopping Fundraiser
Just click on this special fundraiser link to Amazon and shop as you normally would. It doesn't change anything about your shopping experience with Amazon, but a portion of your purchases will be donated by Amazon to our school! Just use this link to access Amazon. http://amzn.to/1BR6Ska
Please share this link with family and friends. The more people who use this link, the more money our school will earn. This money will be used to purchase additional technology, support our PBS Rewards, bring special assemblies and events to our school, etc.
We are having a Boxtop Contest this school year so please save yours Boxtops for Eduation off participating products. Boxtops need to be clipped and sent in in an envelope or ziplock baggie with the child's name and teacher's name. The top collecting students will get a prize at the end of the year and the winning class each month will get our traveling trophy.
Our school has implemented the Lexia Reading software program. Students can access this program at home by going to www.lexialearning.com in an internet browser and clicking Downloads in the upper-right hand corner. Accept the license agreement and enter our Customer Code, 6715-9207-6910-4599, to complete the installation. Once installed, students can log in the same way they will at school to practice important reading skills. All students at Donneslville and Park Layne have access to the program. If you need more information about the program or you child's login information, contact your child's teacher or the school office.
Park Layne students can also access another reading program at home called Raz-Kids. Go to www.raz-kids.com. From there students will put in their teacher's login, find their name and enter their password. Raz-Kids gives students books to read on their level. They can listen to the book, read it independently and then take a quiz over the book to check for understanding.
